After a crazy lead upto the expo, we finally got there. First Atilla got sick, whilst he was recovering Lale came down with it. Then when she was getting better he was sick with something else and then she came down with it! It's such a nasty cycle when you have two little ones that love to explore the world with their mouth. Thank goodness they both recovered before Saturday although Lolly decided that it would be fun to stay up until 2am the night prior to the expo whilst l was up getting all my stock and pricing in order.
I'm so happy to have been a part of it. With my stall extending over 3 long tables and a clothes rack, we were pretty much full shop. There was a huge turn out with lots of mums, bubs, dads and grandparents. There were a total of 18 exhibitors with the main focus on cloth nappies and around 300 visitors expected this year. With the expo having a green and organic theme, even ABA were there; whom had some great info available.
How lucky am l to have my very own clothie bum who came to visit me for a feed and cuddle! Here we are in our matching ‘Casey Loves Cloth’ t-shirts.
We had an expo discount and some expo specials which l haven’t yet put onto the store. The Pintoy Pram or Push Buggy as it’s called was a huge hit with the kids and much to my surprise went missing more than just a few times with youngsters taking it for a test drive.
The Pinocchio Push alongs were also extremely popular.
Mums and bubs loved the range of gorgeous Lark knitted rattles. It was great to meet and chat with so many lovely parents, stallholders and little people. With lots of cloth bums around and so many gorgeous slings than l have ever seen, the expo turned out to be a great success. Many thanks to the lovely Casey Council staff who put so much effort and passion into organising this worthy event. What a great oppurtunity to promote and support the use of cloth nappies, sustainable living and local businesses - can't get better than that!
